Biography
William is the older brother of Cyrrus Everazure and Rien's uncle. He is several years older than Cyrrus. When Cyrrus was a child, William was already an adult. Their mother died of an illness that struck after Cyrrus's birth. Their father died eight years later when his cart took a bad turn on the mountain.
William never took on the family trade of carpentry, perferring enlistment in the motherland's grand armed forces. When his father died, Cyrrus was left with William. He had no choice but to take Cyrrus with him to Tristan, leaving their homeland behind. While William fought for Tristan, Cyrrus was left in the care of teachers in the capital city. His younger brother loved and admired him greatly even though he was only around for short intervals.
With Cyrrus in the safety of the schools, William fought hard for ten more years in foreign wars earning the title of captain and the more colorful moniker "Crazy Fox" due to the sneaky and surprising nature of his tactics. Legends concerning Crazy Fox are largely exaggerated, but in every tale there is some bit of truth.
Though he enjoyed the soldier's life, he recognized that Cyrrus would never choose to become a soldier of his own free will. The Crazy Fox took an early retirement and returned with his younger brother back to their homeland.
Only a few years later war broke out in Tristan again when the Archmage triumphed over the royal family. The young prince who was now left the king of Tristan remembered the stories about Crazy Fox and bid William raise a unit from recruits in his homeland and return to assist Tristan's displaced armies retake the capital. Unfortunately the letter arrived just as William had fallen ill. Fearing for his brother's safety, Cyrrus went in William's place, impersonating his brother and claiming to be Captain Everazure, the Crazy Fox.
William recovered only a few weeks later enraged at what his brother had done and tracked him down. He found him assisting a resistance force in Tristan struggling to reclaim their home whose ranks also included a young theif named Seth Wallace, and Nara Holmcross, the infamous mage. Together they won back Tristan and remained the unsung heroes of the war as Cyrrus's antics became the new legends to replace William's.
For a few years after the Archmage War, William watched as Cyrrus carried on with the soldier's life that he had never wanted for him. He was very pleased when a woman named Lilya spoke some sense into Cyrrus and even more thrilled when the two announced that they would be married and return to the Lands of Snow.
William remained in Tristan for some tme after their marriage training the younger generation including Seth Wallace, who reformed and became an excellent knight. He was seen often with Nara Holmcross during this time, but never admits to the fact whether they were seeing each other in a romantic fashion or not.
When his nephew Rien was born, William decided to follow his brother back to his homeland and retire for good this time. William lived in the old house his father had built in the town of Rarshe, but Cyrrus and Lilya preferred to live in more seclusion in the forests where Lilya and Rien would not be persecuted for their elvin heritige. William often visited, delivering their groceries and supplies from town.
When Rien was young, King Nocholas summoned the Everazures once again back to Tristan. Once again it was Cyrrus who left, bidding William to stay and take care of his family. Cyrrus never returned. Seth and Nara brought word of discovering his sword left standing upright in the ground. Not much later, Lilya was discovered dead in her home. Rien was suddenly without parents. William took it upon himself to raise Rien in the way that he should have raised Cyrrus, away from harm.
Despite his life being full of such depressing events, William has always managed to keep a bright outlook on life. The death of his family and the horrors of war have left him jaded and perhaps a little eccentric, but not depressed. Ever since Cyrrus died, his life has been focused on Rien. Rien worries that his uncle has lost it, and for good reason. Although still a force to be reckoned with, William prefers the bachelor life these days and is content to remain in his home town teaching the younger generation the arts of war.

Life's too short to take it too seriously!
